Technical Preview Project tasks in Gorelo can contain checklists, useful to break down complex, multi-step engagements into granular, manageable actions. Once you create a checklist, you have the option to save it as a template to reuse it in another task or project. To do so, follow these steps:

Requirements

Select a recurring task you need to complete, like:
  • A client onboarding
  • A hardware configuration
  • An organization setup
  • A new user enrollment

Create the checklist template

1

Open the task

From the project’s dashboard (TABLE or BOARD), click the task’s name to open the details.
2

Click the + icon

From the tabs menu, expand the additional options by clicking the + icon.
3

Select the Checklist option

4

Create a new checklist

Fill in the following fields:
  • Name: The name of this checklist.
  • Template: Leave it blank.
Click Save.
5

Add items

Add a first item with the following fields:
  • Item: What to do. Can be text, URLs, and contain emojis.
  • Assignee (optional): Who has to do the action.
  • Due date (optional): The deadline for the action. Leave it empty to reuse the checklist later.
Press Enter or click the icon to save it, then add another item.
6

Save as template

Once you complete the items list, click the icon to save this checklist. Fill in the following fields:
  • Name: The name of the template
  • Visibility: Who can access the checklist. Select between:
    • Public: The client can access it from the project.
    • Private: Only you and your team can access it.
Once you save the checklist, the Checklist menu displays it in your checklist templates list when you create another task. You can add this template to the task in one click instead of inputting the items manually.

Save the project as a template

You can save the entire project as a template in a similar way. Project templates help you standardize workflows and deliver consistent service across clients. To do so:
  • Navigate to your project’s dashboard.
  • Click the three dots menu.
  • Select Save as a template.
Next time you create a project, you can select this template to have an entire multi-step process ready to be tracked and completed.
Gorelo ships predefined checklist templates that appear alongside your custom ones when you add a checklist to a task. Project templates are not prebuilt. They only exist after you or a teammate saves a project as a template using the steps above.
