Create the checklist template

Open the task
From the project’s dashboard (TABLE or BOARD), click the task’s name to open the details.

Click the + icon
From the tabs menu, expand the additional options by clicking the + icon.

Select the Checklist option

Create a new checklist
Fill in the following fields:
- Name: The name of this checklist.
- Template: Leave it blank.

Add items
Add a first item with the following fields:
- Item: What to do. Can be text, URLs, and contain emojis.
- Assignee (optional): Who has to do the action.
- Due date (optional): The deadline for the action. Leave it empty to reuse the checklist later.

Save as template
Once you complete the items list, click the icon to save this checklist. Fill in the following fields:
- Name: The name of the template
- Visibility: Who can access the checklist. Select between:
- Public: The client can access it from the project.
- Private: Only you and your team can access it.
Save the project as a template
You can save the entire project as a template in a similar way. Project templates help you standardize workflows and deliver consistent service across clients. To do so:- Navigate to your project’s dashboard.
- Click the three dots menu.
- Select Save as a template.
Gorelo ships predefined checklist templates that appear alongside your custom ones when you add a checklist to a task. Project templates are not prebuilt. They only exist after you or a teammate saves a project as a template using the steps above.
