Inbound emails that generate tickets can be automatically associated with a client (and location) using different methods. These methods apply in the following order of priority.

Associate tickets with email addresses

You can automatically associate tickets with a client directly from the email address settings. Any email sent to this address will create a ticket associated with the selected client.
  1. Navigate to Settings > Email > Settings.
  2. Edit the desired email address.
  3. Expand the Automatically Apply section.
  4. Select the client.
  5. Click Save.

Associate tickets with contacts

You can automatically associate tickets with a client based on a contact’s email address.
  1. Navigate to the Contacts list.
  2. Click + Contact up the top right.
  3. Fill in these details:
    • First Name
    • Primary Email
    • Client
  4. Click Create.
When an email arrives from the specified Primary Email (or alias), Gorelo creates a ticket associated with the chosen client. If the contact has a location specified, Gorelo will automatically associate the ticket with that location as well.

Associate a domain with a client

The simplest and most common method is to associate an entire domain with a client. All incoming emails from that domain will be associated with the specified client.
  1. Navigate to the Clients list.
  2. Edit the relevant client.
  3. In the ‘Domains’ section (right side), click + Domain.
  4. Enter the domain name, then click Add.
Stripped domains (unassociated senders) override all previous associations. Emails from these domains will not be associated with any client or contact when tickets are created.
